ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS DOCUMENTED
Documentation is the way forward
An EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) is a detailed documentation of a product's impact on the environment at different stages of its life cycle. We have third party verified EPDs on our screens, roller blinds, blackout systems, drop arm awnings, and markisolettes. Read more about the certification on the EPD Denmark website.
See our specific EPDs further down this page.
EPDS AS A TOOL
EPDs play an important role in construction certifications such as DGNB, LEED, and BREEAM. By offering this data, we make it easier for architects and contractors to document the environmental impact of different material choices for a new building or renovation.
THE FIRST STEPS
There is great potential in mapping construction materials in regards to how we build in the future. We started out by having environmental product declarations on our screens, as they are an important element in sustainability certifications in construction. It is important to us to be transparent and to be able to document that our products are long-lasting, quality solutions.
Furthermore, our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications reinforce our commitment as a company to continuously improve quality management, environmental performance and sustainable business practices.

ABOUT CERTIFICATION SCHEMES IN CONSTRUCTION
German scheme and the most appropriate system for Danish conditions, according to the Danish Green Building Council. The certification is the most comprehensive of the three, and it assesses quality based on environmental, economic, social, functional, and technical processes and location factors.
English scheme. Adapted to the standards of each country and/or European standards and internationally recognised. Sustainable buildings are assessed according to 10 categories: management, health and well-being, energy, transport, water, materials, waste, land use, ecology, pollution, and innovation.
American scheme based on American standards. Particularly relevant for companies operating in the international market. In addition to energy consumption, the certification also assesses the building's location, water consumption, choice of materials, indoor climate, management, waste and a number of other parameters.
